Well I finally finished my image that i had been working on for the past few weeks, i've only had a little bit of time to put into it. It was just a basic experament anyway because i don't have much experiance with photoshop so I had to start somewhere, still its a start and theres no where to go but up! Most of the tonal effects were done with dodge and burn.
While I was digging through my old hard drive from my, as of yesterday, broken laptop I found the Max files from my major project last year. The model I build was a 3D version of one of the scorpions from the LEGO Bionicle range of toys. Back then my modeling knowledge was basic and i spent weeks working on recreating every part of the toy in 3D, while recognised as a very detailed model, hence the 1st i received from the project it was still a little messy in places, from the screen shot here you can see the bulk of the detail and the few vertices's that are out of place here and there.
While I was wondering through my university files today I found some old renders of some experiments I did with volumetric light, in my first few weeks of using 3D MAX I wanted to try out a basic water scene, ths was one of my renders I created, theres a selection of them in the renders slideshow along with screen shots of my other earlier projects for all to see
